  Particulars of using Campus Card

  • Automation at; Cafateria, Restaurant , Canteen and Kiosks

    When you go through the automatic barriers in the University cafaterias, and purcase a set menu, the meals will be automatically registered and priced. Due to the figures uploaded onto the card reader, different prices will apply for different groups. For example university staff and students going through the same automatic barrier will be charged different prices for their purchases. The automatic barriers can be adjusted for different groups and directed to different applications using stainless steel seperators. The card readers integrated into the barriers will indicate a different charge if the card user eats for the second time. This is true also on occasions when the card holder uses a different barrier for food purchase, then the second price is charged by the system. The users can see their balance and the amount deducted via the LCD screens on the card readers. If necessary, the cards can be blocked or cancelled. In restaurants like Tower Restaurant and other canteens, kiosks and cafe's where a'la carte menu is served, our touch screen POS terminals are used. The amount shown, after the choices have been made using the screen, is deducted from the users EMU Campus Card.

  • Entrance safety at Campus and Buildings

    Entry and exit controls are maintained on campus and into the buildings in the University, the entry of unauthorized or undesired persons are prevented. Through the barriers placed at several enterance points to the University campus and/or the buildings, the eligibility of the enterants are checked and allowed. Any person’s entry eligibility can be lifted at any time and is notified to all the enterances immidiately through the online system. Within the system it is also possible to bring time and zone limitations to any person, this is implimented through the EMU Campus Card. If necessary the time and zone limitations can be adjusted online by an authorised person.

    The secondary safety zones like the library or the labs are opened by using the same card.

    The computer labs and the system rooms in the University are also opened using the same card. This practice prevents the use of these spaces by unauthorised persons and also allows for the monitoring of the use by those authorized.

  • Carpark Automation

    The University carpark is designed as fee paying and free parking (open only to members) The users in the fee paying carpark can benefit from parking by reading of their card and paying. The members can enter and exit using their card, the automatic barriers open by the users reading of the card and those not authorised cannot enter. The same card can be used for enterence to a second area or to another carpark. For example the cards are designed in a way that when every card holder can gain entry to the University only the eligible staff can enter the parking areas designated for administrative personnel. In the same way as in the personal entries time or zone eligibility can be applied.

  • Sports and Other Activities

    Areas such as tennis courts, the astroturf, and the sport halls where activities will take place are designed to be entered and priced through card use.

    The membership system can be encoorperated onto the card and allows for the hourly payment rates to be made. All these activities are inspected and kept under control by the EMU Campus Card.

  • The University Transport Services

    The University operates a system for both free and fee paying transport services. The card readers placed beside the drivers reads the student cards thus prevent the use of services by the others. Those whose cards become out of date or those who are no longer linked to the University can also be established and are only allowed on with permission. Those who wish to use the services and pay can do so after purchasing and putting credit onto a card provided by the University,

  • 3. How can I deposit credit on my card?

    With EMU Campus Card Feature;

    You can deposit credit on your card at the Student Services Office, Student Affairs Administration, Finance Affairs Administration, The Dorms Administration, and at points in the Tower and fixed menu restaurants.

    With KOOP24 Debit Card Feature;

    You can deposit to your bank account connected to your EMU Campus Card through Koopbank branches and ATM's.

  • 4. What is the maximum amount I can spend with my card?

    With EMU Campus Card Feature;

    EMU Campus Card is a password and contactless card. For your own safety it only allows a maximum of 100 TL per day not exceeding 25 TL at each purchase.

    With KOOP24 Debit Card Feature;

    You can withdraw 1500 TL daily using the ATMs from the account your card is linked to.

    The maximum amount of daily shopping limit with your EMU Campus Card is; 4,500 TL from KoopBank Pos machines and 1.500 TL from the other banks pos machines.

  • 5. What shall I do if my card is stolen?

    When your card is stolen you need to call KoopBank call center on (0392) 600 02 02 immidiately and go to the Student Services Ofice and notify them for the cancellation of your card. In such a situation your card will become invalid. A new card will be issued and your balance with all your eligibilities will be credited onto your new card.
